Birthdays are celebrated at afternoon snack time with special treats such as cupcakes and ice cream cups which are provided by the parents. Some parents choose to have a pizza party at lunch time. Parents should notify the teacher in advance so a note can be sent home to parents about pizza lunch. Hawaii State Health Law requires that all treats brought in by parents be store bought.
