Kihei Baptist School believes that discipline and training of a child in appropriate behavior is best achieved by:

  • Encouragement and modeling.
  • Natural and logical consequences.
  • Time out ( brief separation from group).
  • Parental cooperation.

Intentional hurting of others such as biting and hitting, immodest behavior and vulgar language (either to another child or to any staff member) will not be allowed or tolerated.

Based upon the child’s age, development stage, reoccurrence of the incident, the school reserves the right to review each individual situation if inappropriate or unacceptable behavior occurs and to take one of the following actions:

  • Verbal or written notice to parents.
  • Conference with child and parents.
  • Suspension or dismissal from school.
