Awana

Awana Wednesdays starts September 8, 2010 at Kihei Baptist!
Awana meets Wednesday nights at Kihei Bpatist Chapel from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. See you there!
Awana, which stands for "Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed" (2 Timothy 2:15) is a fantastic opportunity for children ages 3 & 4 and grades K-6 to grow in self-worth as well as their relationship with God and with others.
The Awana program is a tool to help our children learn about God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to help them hide God's Word in their hearts, while enjoying a fun and exciting evening!
Awana is a worldwide youth and children’s ministry centered on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For almost 60 years Awana has been a leader in children’s ministry, helping churches and parents raise children to know, love, and serve Christ. Awana programs and materials have been carefully crafted to help churches clearly and consistently communicate the good news of Christ and His plan for their lives, and to build a Biblical foundation that helps them follow Christ through adulthood. Kids are divided into the following age groups:Cubbies – Older 3 year olds through pre-kindergarten
Awana Cubbies uses games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities to transform the preschool program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand. Awana Cubbies leaders have a leader’s guidebook to help them plan and direct club time and communicate the lesson.
Sparks – K through 2nd grade
The Awana Club for children in kindergarten through second grade builds on the material taught in our preschool clubs. The curriculum takes kids a step deeper into God’s Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ. After being immersed in solid foundational teaching at the preschool level, boys and girls frequently come to an understanding of their need to trust Christ as their personal Savior while in Sparks.
Truth and Training (T&T) – Level 1- 3rd and 4th grades / Level 2- 5th and 6th grades
The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of Awana to teach third- through sixth-grade boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. Our goal is that many of today’s young people will become tomorrow’s church leaders. T&T is the program that trains the leaders of tomorrow — today.
